Chivas Regal Releases Ultimate Cask Collection

Chivas Regal has released a series of ultra-premium Scotch whiskies finished in a variety of first fill wooden casks, created exclusively for global travel retail.

The first edition in the Chivas 18 Ultimate Cask Collection to be launched is the Chivas 18 Ultimate Cask Collection First Fill American Oak Finish. The brand will stagger the release of two additional expressions into the collection 18 months apart from each other.

Colin Scott, Master Blender at Chivas Regal said the aim of the collection was to create several unique blends that accentuate the most iconic notes of the original Chivas Regal 18 Year Old.

The inaugural expression has been gently rested in first fill American Oak casks, resulting in a deep golden hue and rich indulgent caramel and vanilla notes. The expression has further been non-chill filtered to preserve the richness of its taste.

Drinkers can expect an aroma of rich sweet notes of ripe plums, caramel, toffee and creamy vanilla, and a taste that is rich and fruity, with orange marmalade, milk chocolate, raisins and delicate smoky flavours. The finish is long, sweet and smooth.

The new expression has 48% ABV and is available exclusively in Duty Free for $149 AUD (1 litre).
