Changes to ATO Website

The Australian Taxation Office has informed that it has made a number of changes to the ‘excise and excise equivalent goods’ and ‘wine equalisation tax’ sections of its website.

Both sections have been re-structured and feature new information.

Users will find that existing information on alcohol, fuel and tobacco has been moved into individual sections under excise and excise equivalent goods, while content has been streamlined across the sections and important messages moved from the ‘in detail’ section up into the main content.

The office says the changes aim to make the website easier to navigate and understand, with reduced duplication and better search facilities now in place.
