Who Will Be Liquor Store of the Year in 2015? - Retail Liquor Industry Awards for Excellence

Finalists of the upcoming 2015 Retail Liquor Industry Awards for Excellence have been announced.

Run by the industry body, Liquor Stores Association (LSA) NSW, the annual program honours and acknowledges the year-round efforts of those who go the “extra mile” in liquor retail.

LSA NSW Executive Director Michael Waters said a record number of nominations were received this year.

“255 nominations were received across the various retailer categories, which tells us that our members and stakeholders are taking the annual awards program as seriously as we do”, Waters said.

To select the finalists, each nominated member store was independently mystery shopped, assessing the complete customer shopping experience against key criteria, including the arrival experience and first impressions, store layout and appearance, product ranging and diversification, staff presentation, customer service and sales skills, the sales transaction and responsible service and compliance.

Last year, Camperdown Cellars Parramatta Road was awarded the Top NSW Liquor Store of the Year, while Lucas Allen from Liquorland Fairy Meadow was awarded Liquor Store Manager of the Year and Richard Kelsey and Geoff Huens from Porter’s Liquor Artarmon were jointly-awarded Liquor Store Owner of the Year.

The Awards Presentation Dinner is LSA’s final and largest networking event of the year, held on Friday 20th November at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. Tickets can be purchased online via www.lsansw.com.au/events or by contacting the LSA office – substantial discounts are available for members and awards finalists.
