Taylors Wines Wins for Clare Valley in China

Taylors Wines has received the trophy for Clare Valley Wine of the Year at this week’s China Wine and Spirits Best Value Awards. The winery received the trophy for its 2014 Taylors Estate Merlot (RRP $18.95). Taylors also took away five double gold and gold medals.

This is the second year in a row that Taylors has taken away a major trophy from the awards; the winery won Australian Wine of the Year in 2014 for its 2010 Promised Land Shiraz Cabernet.

Taylors Wines third generation Managing Director Mitchell Taylor said it was an auspicious win for the winery.

“Taylors Wines are excited and optimistic about our future in the Chinese market. The success at such a prestigious show across a real breadth of our wines selected by a panel of judges that knows the end consumer and buyer so well, is a compliment to our team”, Mr. Taylor said.

Taylors Wines entered the China in the mid-1990s, where today it has a growing presence. Most recently, Taylors and appointed a local representative in the country in a commitment to the growing market.
