Bacardi Releases Fuego

Bacardi has released its newest rum Fuego in Australia. Fuego, meaning “fire” in Spanish, is a premium spiced rum and the second spiced rum to join Bacardi’s portfolio alongside OakHeart.

What makes this spiced rum unique, is that it can be served neat. Like other Bacardi rums, Fuego is bold yet smooth and its premium quality and fiery nature make it enjoyable simply over ice or as recommended, half and half with ginger beer and lime.

The spiced rum has been aged for a minimum of two years in charred oak barrels with classic spiced rum flavours of vanilla, nutmeg, chocolate and oak. This process makes the rum red in colour and gives it classic rum flavours of vanilla, pepper and cinnamon, plus a full 40%ABV.

The bottle features Bacardi’s new Art Deco design, which pays homage to the brand’s heritage and expresses the red colour of the rum. The bottle is expected to move quickly off shelves, with spiced rum and other spiced spirits becoming a big trend in bars currently.
