Evans & Tate Release 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Celebrating Stellar Vintage

Only to be released in exceptional years, the Evans & Tate Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 was presented to the industry this month, and it’s lived up to its billing. Senior Winemaker Matthew Byrne set out to make an exceptional wine celebrating the noble grape variety and the relationship it enjoys with the Margaret River region and, in particular, the Evans & Tate winemaking style evolved over 40 years.

“We wanted to create a Cabernet Sauvignon that was elegant, yet intense, and with tremendous length of flavour,” said Byrne. “We made this wine in a style that highlights the purity of our most outstanding parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon with the assurance that it will age for many years to come”

The 2012 year was a standout in the Margaret River. Cooler nights and a more even growing period with less intense “heat events” have resulted in wines that have elegance, power and length. The Evans & Tate 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon exemplifies these qualities.
