Samuel Smith & Son General Manager Retires

greg_pullenYalumba has announced today that Greg Pullen, NSW General Manager of its fine wine business, Samuel Smith & Son (SS&S), will retire on 30 June.

Mr. Pullen has worked for the company for over 29 years, having joined as Sales Manager in 1986 before working his way up the business’ ladder into senior roles.

The announcement was made to staff of SS&S on Friday by owner, Robert Hill-Smith.

“Greg has been a successful and unswervingly loyal contributor through his various senior roles in the SS&S commercial network”, Mr. Hill-Smith said.

“Whatever Pullen does, he will do it well. We shall miss him greatly. Greg has been a fabulous and tireless ambassador for our company and made friends at all levels of the wine trade.”

It was also recently announced that CEO of Yalumba, Mr. Hill-Smith, will be stepping down from the role, to be replaced by Chief Operating Officer Nick Waterman on March 7, when Chairman Mr. Barnes will also retire.

SS&S are yet to find a replacement for Mr. Pullen.
