De Bortoli Shows New Branding on Woodfired Shiraz Release

De Bortoli Woodfired Heathcote Shiraz_NVDe Bortoli has released the first wine to feature its new branding. The Woodfired Heathcote Shiraz 2015 is the first to feature the all-new De Bortoli Family Winemakers logo, which was created as part of a rebrand that also included the winery’s website at the beginning of August. The updated branding will continue to roll out across De Bortoli’s portfolio of wines from now.

The Woodfired Shiraz has been crafted from select parcels of fruit from Northern Heathcote’s Chinaman’s Bend, Corop and Calbinabbin areas, where the soils produce dark fruited, plump red shiraz.

The wine is recommended with a chargrilled dry aged steak; its name and label reflecting a ‘woodfired’ impression, with part of the label burnt away. On the palate, the wine has a rich mouth feel, with dark fruit, plum, spice, dried herb and liquorice flavours.

“Our goal has been to develop a full-bodied, texturally mouth-filling red wine that is plump, fruit driven and seriously good for washing down chargrilled ribeye,” Chief Winemaker, Steve Webber said.

“We think we’ve made a cracking wine and it’s not just us who thinks so…even before De Bortoli Woodfired was launched it won a gold medal at the 2016 Heathcote Wine Show.”
