Rose Scott Appointed Managing Director of Endeavour’s China Wine Business

Endeavour Drinks Group has announced that Rose Scott, General Manager of Merchandising and Marketing, has accepted a new role within the business which will see her lead the group’s Chinese wholesale distribution business as Managing Director. Scott will take over the position from Ian Ford, current MD of Summergate Fine Wines, from October.

Scott has been with Endeavour Drinks Group since 2013 and currently leads the overall buying and marketing strategies across the group. Scott has worked in the Australian liquor industry for 20 years and has also held senior roles at Southcorp Wines, Foster’s and McWilliam’s Wines. She has also managed a number of international wine brands.

As MD of Summergate Fine Wines, Scott will be responsible for growing and evolving the business, which was acquired by the Group in 2014.

“Summergate holds a formidable position as a key distributor of brands in the Chinese market and we have some fantastic plans in place to continue to grow this business,” Managing Director of Endeavour Drinks Group, Martin Smith said.

“We have seen tremendous progress in a number of areas and the Endeavour Drinks Group sees significant value in its future potential as a part of our portfolio.”

Ian Ford will now move to a newly created role of Director - Business Development, East Asia.

Smith said that Scott will be in touch with trade over the coming weeks to provide clarity over her new role and the teams she currently manages.
