Keystone Group Says Business as Usual

Keystone Group has said that it is business as usual at its venues while receivers work through the details of the sale. The Group was placed into receivership on Tuesday, affecting 17 bars and restaurants across the country, including Bungalow 8, Cargo Bar, Chophouse (Perth & Sydney), Gazebo, Jamie’s Italian (nationwide), Kingsleys (Brisbane & Woolloomooloo), Manly Wine, Sugarmill Hotel, The Rook and The Winery.

“All our venues will continue to operate as usual and Keystone’s management will be working closely with the receivers during this process to ensure minimal disruption to the business and to ensure a successful outcome to the sale process,” the group said.

Receiver Morgan Kelly also confirmed that Keystone staff will continue to be employed on the same terms and conditions as prior to the appointment of the receivers. Keystone Group has over 1,000 employees nationwide.

He said, “For employees, venue operations and customers, it is business as usual as we undertake the sale process.”

The sale, which will offer the option of the entire group or on an individual asset basis, is expected to commence shortly.
